Annual Golden Globe Awards were dressed by Giorgio Armani. The show took place
at the Beverly Hilton Hotel and was broadcast live on Sunday evening, January
11, 2009, on NBC at 8pm ET.
Cruz selected a Giorgio Armani Privé pale gold silk
chiffon column dress featuring beading and Swarovski crystals. The bodice is
replete with intricate pleated ruching and an open, scooped back. She was
nominated for Best Performance by an Actress In A Supporting Role in a Motion
Picture for her work in “Vicky Cristina Barcelona.”
Hathaway, nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a
Motion Picture—Drama for her role in “Rachel Getting Married,” wore a Giorgio
Armani Privé royal blue silk gazar gown with a hand-pleated bustier embroidered
with Swarovski crystals and beading that gives way to a cascading skirt of
layered silk gazar.
Nominee Melissa George chose a Giorgio Armani Privé light
blue silk chiffon gown with black lacquer discs in an asymmetrical detail at
the bust. She was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress In A Supporting
Role in a Series, Mini Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for her
work in HBO’s “In Treatment.”
Close presented an award in a Giorgio Armani vintage gold
beaded jacket with mandarin collar paired with taupe raw silk pants.
Westfeldt will attend the awards in a Giorgio Armani black
strapless gown with an organza ruffle across the bust and a double layer tulle
Zylberstein selected a Giorgio Armani Privé fitted dress
with overlapping petals embroidered in tiny magnolia coloured beads and silver
sequins, and completed with a platinum and diamante brooch at the neck. She is
a co-star of the film “I’ve Loved You So Long (Il y a Longtemps Que Je
t’aime),” which was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film.
Leonardo Di Caprio, nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture--Drama
for his work in "Revolutionary Road", selected a Giorgio Armani Made-to-Measure
two-button black pinstripe shawl collar tuxedo. The lapels on the jacket are
detailed in velvet as are the pants. He wore a black velvet vest with a white evening shirt and black
necktie. The film was also
nominated as Best Motion Picture--Drama.

Cruise wore a Giorgio Armani Hand
Made-to-Measure midnight blue double-breasted peak lapel tuxedo. He completed
the look with a classic white shirt and midnight blue necktie. He was nominated
in the category of Best Performance by an Actor In A Supporting Role in a
Motion Picture for his role in “Tropic Thunder.”
Presenter Johnny Depp chose to wear
a Giorgio Armani shawl collar tuxedo.
Jon Hamm, who was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor In A Television
Series--Drama and as a cast member of "Mad Men," which was nominated
in the category of Best Television Series--Drama, wore a Giorgio Armani
Made-to-Measure peak lapel tuxedo with a classic evening shirt and bow tie.
Clint Eastwood, nominated in the category of Best Original Score--Motion Picture for
"Changeling," chose a Giorgio Armani one-button peak lapel tuxedo
with a classic evening shirt and bow tie. He attended with his son and
co-nominee Kyle Eastwood, who were both nominated
in the category of Best Original Song--Motion Picture for "Gran Torino." Kyle Eastwood wore a Giorgio
Armani two-button peak lapel tuxedo with a classic evening shirt and a black
satin bow tie.
Director Martin Scorsese presented the Cecil B. DeMille Award to Steven Spielberg and wore a classic
Giorgio Armani tuxedo.
Presenter Mark Wahlberg selected a Giorgio Armani two-button notch lapel tuxedo with a classic
evening shirt and bow tie.
Presenter Pierce Brosnan, whose movie "Mamma Mia!" was nominated in the category of
Best Motion Picture--Musical Or Comedy, wore a Giorgio Armani midnight blue
two-button peak lapel tuxedo. The
outfit was completed with a white evening shirt and midnight blue necktie.
Presenter Kevin Jonas of The Jonas Brothers, selected an
Emporio Armani (PRODUCT) RED one-button peak lapel black velvet evening jacket.
The tuxedo pant is also from the (PRODUCT) RED collection and features a satin
waistband. He completed the outfit

Matteo Garrone, director of “Gomorrah (Gomorra),” which was nominated for Best Foreign
