The Armani Group is pleased to announce the opening of the first emporio armani
store in Guam. Located at Tumon Bay DFS Galleria, 1296 Pale San Vitores, the
new retail space covers over 150 square metres on one floor.
Much more than a fashion boutique, the new store embodies Giorgio Armani’s
vision of the modern, casual lifestyle that Emporio Armani represents. The store
offers the complete Emporio Armani lifestyle collection for men and women including
casual wear, sportswear, watches, eyewear, and jewellery collections.
Giorgio armani designed the new store in collaboration with an in-house team
of architecs, following the image of the recently opened emporio armani stores
in miami-bal harbour, Cannes, Houston and forte dei marmi. The floors and walls
are made of beige “tatami” material that contrast with the chocolate brown wengè
wood panels and displays while the ceiling is a satin finish stainless steel
featuring recessed lighting coves. A large video wall projecting the emporio
armani spring / summer 2006 collections dominates the entrance to the store.
The overall effect blends craftsmanship with modernity in an unexpected way
and presents the perfect surrounding for the world of Emporio Armani.
As announced at TWFA World Exhibition in Cannes in October 2005, guam is one
of the key locations included in the Armani group’s ongoing “ Fast-track “ expansion
programme in the duty free and travel retail marketplace.
With three freestanding Emporio Armani stores opened in the last two years
at Rome’s Fiumicino airport, Zurich’s international airport and Heathrow – T3,
the Armani group’s program of openings is now well underway.
Future planned openings in the programme for 2006 include an Emporio Armani
Freestanding store of 90 square meters in Tokyo’s Narita airport (new south
wing) and an Emporio Armani shop-in-shop of over 70 square meters in Buenos
Aires’ ezeiza airport.
