Giorgio Armani will dress selected hosts, nominees,
presenters and attendees at the 60th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards and
surrounding events. The awards show will be broadcast on
ABC Television Sunday evening, September 21, 2008, from the Nokia Theatre at LA
Live in Los Angeles.
Emmy
Host Heidi Klum, who is also nominated in the category of Outstanding
Host For A Reality Or Reality-Competition Program, for her work on Bravo’s “Project
Runway,” will wear two
Giorgio Armani Privé looks. On the red
carpet, she has selected a Giorgio Armani Privé gunmetal grey satin
and Swarovski crystal gown. The
dress is cut on a bias to create an asymmetrical capelet covering the right shoulder. The asymmetrical motif is
continued through the gown, where the outer panel overlaps the bottom of the
full length skirt.
At
the Governors Ball, Klum will wear a Giorgio Armani Privé black silk-satin bustier
gown with Swarovski crystals. The left
panel of the dress is encrusted with platinum and black Swarovski crystals. The dramatic dress is completed with a
black satin belt featuring an oversized bow.
Glenn Close, nominated
for Best Actress in a Drama Series for her starring role on the FX Networks series
“Damages,” has selected a black Giorgio Armani Privé gown in duchess silk. The dress features a sweetheart
neckline, fitted bodice, and a dramatic cascading train. She will complete the outfit with a
Giorgio Armani black lace shawl trimmed with fringe.
Presenter
and Nominee Kristin Chenoweth, who is nominated in the
category of Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series for her role on the
ABC series “Pushing Daisies,” has selected a classic black silk crepe Giorgio
Armani gown. The strapless
neckline features an exaggerated satin bow at the bust, a mermaid silhouette
and a delicate train.
Kevin
Spacey, nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor In A Miniseries
Or A Movie for the HBO production of “Recount,” will wear a Giorgio Armani
one-button silk and wool peak lapel tuxedo with a classic evening shirt and
black necktie.
Jon
Stewart, nominated in the categories of Outstanding
Individual Performance In A Variety Or Music Program for hosting the ABC 80th Annual Academy Awards, and also for Outstanding Variety, Music Or Comedy Series
for “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” on Comedy Central, will wear a Giorgio
Armani two-button notch lapel wool crepe tuxedo. The look will be completed with a classic spread collar
evening shirt and bowtie.
Actor Matthew Rhys will attend the Emmys wearing a Giorgio
Armani two-button shawl c0llar tuxedo with a classic evening shirt and
bowtie. Rhys stars on the ABC
series “Brothers & Sisters.”
Actress Jennifer Westfeldt has selected to wear a Giorgio Armani white satin
floral pattern gown. The dress features a plunging V-neck and cream floral lace
overlay.
