ARMANI GROUP OPENS EMPORIO ARMANI STORE IN INCHEON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Giorgio Armani announces the opening of an Emporio Armani store in Incheon International Airport, South Korea. The retail space covers over 90 square metres on one floor.

The new store design embodies Giorgio Armani' s vision of the modern, cosmopolitan fashion lifestyle that Emporio Armani represents. The store offers the complete Emporio Armani collection for men and women including formal and casual wear, sportswear, leather accessories, watches, eyewear, and jewellery.

Giorgio Armani designed the new store himself with a team of in-house architects following the image of the recently opened Emporio Armani stores in London - Brompton Road, Bangkok - Suvarnabhumi airport, Milan - Malpensa airport and Paris, Charles De Gaulle Airport S3.

The flooring is made of black vinyl tatami while  the walls feature black glass which contrasts with inserts of bright marmorino. The ceiling features black glossy glass alternating with marmorino panels. A large screen projecting the current collections dominates the entrance of the store. Displays in black glass and minimalist fixtures complete the environment. The overall impression is of modernity mixed with the essence of Emporio Armani in an unexpected and elegant way to create the perfect surrounding for the collections.

Giorgio Armani said "Incheon International Airport is one of the world's most important travel hubs, which now offers an exceptional brackdrop for travel retail. This new Emporio Armani store therefore represents an important addition to our fast-growing network of travel retail locations."

Incheon International airport is one of the key locations included in the Armani group's ongoing fast-track expansion programme in the duty free and travel retail marketplace.

With nine freestanding Emporio Armani stores opened in the last three years at Rome's Fiumicino airport, Zurich's international airport, London - Heathrow T3, Guam at DFS Galleria, Tokyo's Narita Airport Terminal 1, Buenos Aires' Ezeiza airport, Bangkok - Suvarnabhumi airport, Milan - Malpensa Airport and Charles De Gaulle Airport the Armani group's programme of openings is well underway with an expansion strategy which has successfully been able to introduce a fashion forward collection into the travel retail business.
